When Venancio Moise fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carolina FC's protests and gave Venancio Moise a yellow card for diving instead. Venancio Moise hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Argentinos Juniors's Alfredo Onbera got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Niceto Sotero kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Alfredo Onbera's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Baldomero Savier skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alfredo Onbera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Onbera in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldomero Savier saved Carolina FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Aquilino Joseph managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argentinos Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Aquilino Joseph was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomero Savier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfredo Onbera in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Baldomero Savier, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Baldomero Savier was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ambrosio Guillelmus. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Onbera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baldomero Savier was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ambrosio Cresitobalo made a kick off. Alfredo Onbera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Savier having to interfere. Alfredo Onbera might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baldomero Savier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Onbera ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Carolina FC's zone, Aquilino Joseph stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Savier came out of the goal and Aquilino Joseph tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the match, Carolina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Onbera came free, but Baldomero Savier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baldomero Savier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo Onbera's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. If Alfredo Onbera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Argentinos Juniors's Alfredo Onbera got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute of the match Anastasio Clementi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baldomero Savier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Argentinos Juniors's Aquilino Joseph got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aquilino Joseph sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95th play minutes Alfredo Onbera shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Baldomero Savier and just under the crossbar into goal.
