After 3 minutes of play, Argentinos Juniors's Dario Mogel made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arturo Garoa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arturo Garoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavio Urtsin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Carmensa AFC defense, Dario Mogel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arturo Garoa. The Carmensa AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arturo Garoa should have stopped the shot. Adolfo Chico's late challenge caught a Argentinos Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Chico helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Argentinos Juniors booed when Carmensa AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Chico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Onbera in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arturo Garoa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Urtsin in the 27th minute of play forced Carmensa AFC's goalkeeper Arturo Garoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alfredo Onbera came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Argentinos Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Onbera couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute, Dario Mogel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Argentinos Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Alfredo Onbera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Carmensa AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Aquilino Joseph came free, but Arturo Garoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arturo Garoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Onbera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arturo Garoa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Octavio Urtsin went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Alfredo Onbera sped through Carmensa AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arturo Garoa. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Salvador Txindoki to make the kick off. Octavio Urtsin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Garoa having to interfere. If Aquilino Joseph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Argentinos Juniors's Alfredo Onbera in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carmensa AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Alfredo Onbera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredo Onberas short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Arturo Garoa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 65 minutes, Alfredo Onbera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Argentinos Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Onbera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Alfredo Onbera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Argentinos Juniors's Alfredo Onbera in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carmensa AFC's goalie prevented a goal. When Alfredo Onbera came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Argentinos Juniors fans jumped to their feet. Dario Mogel came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arturo Garoa could save by the left post. 83 minutes into the game, Aquilino Joseph cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Arturo Garoa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Dario Mogel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argentinos Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Dario Mogel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Garoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arturo Garoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquilino Joseph in the 89th minute of the match. A hard shot by Elias Ekain from long distance, 91 minutes into the match, got Arturo Garoa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Alfredo Onbera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argentinos Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Onbera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Garoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Aquilino Joseph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Onbera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Arturo Garoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Carmensa AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Argentinos Juniors were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
