With a little luck, Gorgonta AFC's Blas Lope got control of the ball when Ciriaco Umbruso tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Quintin in the 9th minute of play forced Quequén's goalkeeper Guaberto Esquipula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blas Lope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Urbes, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciriaco Umbruso got free with Blas Lope in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guaberto Esquipula showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Quintin, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Quequén's zone, Jonas Loreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guaberto Esquipula came out of the goal and Jonas Loreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 29 minutes, Elvio Selatse mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gorgonta AFC and the Quequén players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Gorgonta AFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Elvio Selatse hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Benjamin Urbes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Everardo Porfirio kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Gorgonta AFC's Serafino Montrel broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonas Loreto to strike the kick off in the second half. Blas Lope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Umbruso, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Lino Quintin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciriaco Umbruso scored 1-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Blas Lope, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guaberto Esquipula took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Loreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the game, Severo Bizi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gorgonta AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quequén the free kick. Severo Bizi kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Leonides Silvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blas Lope came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Quequén's Benjamin Urbes. But to his dismay, Benjamin Urbes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Blas Lope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Silvino in the 77th minute of the match. Guaberto Esquipula made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Lino Quintin sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Jonas Loreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gorgonta AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Loreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guaberto Esquipula breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute, Leonides Silvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lino Quintin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 84th playminute. If Jonas Loreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guaberto Esquipula took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clodoveo Gorbea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
