Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Ibar in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Urritz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adriana Gaitan charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adriana Gaitan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gaston Cisco scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Urritz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 14 minutes, Rodrigo Ibar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Candelaria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Ibar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adriana Gaitan got his second yellow card in the match during the 15th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. If Rodrigo Ibar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gaston Cisco came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Candelaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Cisco couldn't finish the play. 26 minutes into the match, Embalse's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Ibar came free, but Manuel Urritz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute Rodrigo Ibar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Urritz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Osvaldo Dei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Urritz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Ibar in the 34th minute of the match. The Candelaria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Abechuco should have stopped the shot.

57 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Dei had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Abechuco. Candelaria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo Dei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 64th match minute, Candelaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltasar Senon to maneuver through the defense. Embalse's Manuel Urritz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Embalse from getting a goal against them. Gaston Cisco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaston Cisco in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Urritz saved Embalse from getting behind. A collision led to Embalse getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Marcos Vimaro hit a great ball. When Gaston Cisco, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 82 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Manuel Urritz was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Embalse's Osvaldo Dei got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Embalse's goalkeeper Manuel Urritz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Ibar. Rodrigo Ibar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Manuel Urritz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Manuel Urritz made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Rodrigo Ibar sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Ibar got free with Manuel Urritz in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaston Cisco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Manuel Urritz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Embalse's zone, Gaston Cisco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Urritz came out of the goal and Gaston Cisco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Candelaria's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
