After 19 played minutes, Carapaligüe's Adrian Eliazar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Miguel Firman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carapaligüe reached it. Zacarias Inko charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zacarias Inko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute, Artemio Dalmu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomás Osorio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zeledon Kusko's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lázaro Mancio made a kick off. Carapaligüe's Lázaro Mancio got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Carapaligüe's Tomás Osorio got control of the ball when Artemio Dalmu tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Lázaro Mancio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carapaligüe's Lázaro Mancio got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Artemio Dalmu came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Rawson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artemio Dalmu couldn't finish the play. Zeledon Kusko struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Tomás Osorio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rawson. Rawson's Miguel Firman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Mancio in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute Melquiades Foro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Firman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anacleto Palban kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After 90 minutes, Anier Galindo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rawson and the Carapaligüe players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th minute, Anier Galindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Melquiades Foro came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Carapaligüe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melquiades Foro couldn't finish the play. Miguel Firman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Mancio in the 94th minute of the match. Miguel Firman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anacleto Palban, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
