In the 37th minute, Alejandro Egoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Victoriano Lekubegi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victoriano Lekubegi was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Profundidad defense, Basilio George kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hector Ostots. The Profundidad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hector Ostots should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Victoriano Lekubegi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hector Ostots was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. After 59 minutes, Victoriano Lekubegi made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Profundidad's Hector Ostots tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Godofredo Galtero fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Profundidad's protests and gave Godofredo Galtero a yellow card for diving instead. Godofredo Galtero hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Newman were the better team. Newman's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
