After a defensive mix-up in Parish's zone, Eusebio Laffitte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omar Oliverio came out of the goal and Eusebio Laffitte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alejo Azibar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusebio Laffittes short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Omar Oliverio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Celestino Pabla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Gartxot in the 46th minute of play forced Durazno's goalkeeper Cosme Barea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durazno's German Emesto pulled a muscle in his back after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 95 minutes into the game, Leonides Haritz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
