Filiberto Figueroa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Castel in the 13th minute of the match. Filiberto Figueroa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Baraquiel in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th minute Marcial Castel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiberto Figueroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Trancas's zone, Eustaquio Txaran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alejo Feliu came out of the goal and Eustaquio Txaran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abelardo Cloyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Alejo Feliu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abelardo Cloyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gualterio Baraquiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marcial Castel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filiberto Figueroa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualterio Baraquiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcial Castel to strike the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Cloyo couldn't finish the play. Los Potrillos's Abelardo Cloyo got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gualterio Baraquiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
