Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sauzal's Aurelio Lano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Timoteo Hondo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The attack was good, but when Javier Patxi in the 10th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 16th minute, Javier Patxi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pastor Beremundo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Timoteo Hondo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Acevedo's supporters rose to their feet, but Timoteo Hondo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pastor Beremundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timoteo Hondo struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Pastor Beremundo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Acevedo. After a rather tough play, Sauzal's Aldo Caton got a free kick in the 39th minute.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Lano in the 52nd minute of play forced Acevedo's goalkeeper Fidel Balesio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Javier Patxi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pastor Beremundo having to interfere. After 59 played minutes Acevedo got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Tono. If Ivan Quin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63 played minutes Sauzal got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Hegoi. Pastor Beremundo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Americo Paez. After 64 played minutes Sauzal got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Aurre. 66 minutes into the game, Cristobal Odilon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sauzal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Acevedo the free kick. In the 65th minute, one of Sauzal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sauzal. In the 73rd minute Ivan Quin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Balesio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes in the game, Timoteo Hondo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pastor Beremundo having to interfere. Acevedo's Javier Patxi got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Sauzal's zone, Timoteo Hondo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pastor Beremundo came out of the goal and Timoteo Hondo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the game, Victorio Aurre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sauzal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Acevedo the free kick. In the 81st match minute, Sauzal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Aurre to maneuver through the defense. When Timoteo Hondo came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Acevedo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timoteo Hondo couldn't finish the play. Timoteo Hondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Pastor Beremundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Aurelio Lano came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Sauzal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Lano couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute, Ivan Quin made a precise shot to the right of Fidel Balesio. Acevedo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. The Acevedo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Acevedo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
