The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Hipolito Onofre fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Procyon ᶠᶜ's protests and gave Hipolito Onofre a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Procyon ᶠᶜ's Hipolito Onofre got a free kick in the 4th minute. After 17 minutes, Herminio Itzaina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Procyon ᶠᶜ and the Piñalitos players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Procyon ᶠᶜ getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. In the 30thth minute of the game Aurelio Jaizki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piñalitos's Placido Gabon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Aldo Socorro came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Procyon ᶠᶜ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aldo Socorro couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the game, Aldo Socorro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Procyon ᶠᶜ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piñalitos the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Txordon in the 44th minute of play forced Procyon ᶠᶜ's goalkeeper Epifanio Calisto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Aurelio Jaizki made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Rigoberto Txordon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Calisto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Epifanio Calisto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Felipillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Piñalitos booed when Procyon ᶠᶜ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Bihar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Piñalitos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
