Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Generoso Mikolas started the match with the kick off. When Sueldos's Eloy Rameriz in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Quijano's goalie prevented a goal. After 10 minutes of play, Sueldos's Isidro Frasco made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Higinio Mendez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Higinio Mendez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marco Araoz went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Generoso Mikolas struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Epifanio Gasteiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quijano. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guillermo Piearres got free with Epifanio Gasteiz in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sueldos's Epifanio Gasteiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Generoso Mikolas in the 27th minute of play. When Guillermo Piearres came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Quijano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillermo Piearres couldn't finish the play. Epifanio Gasteiz was a little too slow when Generoso Mikolas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 1-2. Higinio Mendez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Frasco in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Sueldos booed when Quijano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Mikolas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Isidro Frasco made the kick off in the second half. Higinio Mendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidro Frasco in the 54th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isidro Frasco in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Higinio Mendez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Felipe Urtsua fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quijano's protests and gave Felipe Urtsua a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Quijano's Felipe Urtsua got a free kick in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Frasco in the 64th minute of play forced Quijano's goalkeeper Higinio Mendez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Marco Araoz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Higinio Mendez. Marco Araoz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. After some careless play in the Sueldos defense, Generoso Mikolas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Epifanio Gasteiz. The Sueldos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Epifanio Gasteiz should have stopped the shot. Higinio Mendez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Frasco in the 74th minute of play. Isidro Frasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The long shot by Lázaro Berbiz in the 87th minute really tested Higinio Mendez's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With a little luck, Quijano's Higinio Mendez got control of the ball when Marco Araoz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Higinio Mendez came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Sueldos's Marco Araoz. But to his dismay, Marco Araoz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. Epifanio Gasteiz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Generoso Mikolas went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-4 was the resulting score.
