Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Arnulfo Virila started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd match minute, Anasagasti AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Furtado to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Arnulfo Virila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Karlo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Remigio Gartzi came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Anasagasti AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remigio Gartzi couldn't finish the play. Montserrat's Baldomero Piarres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Tabb in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Montserrat getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Anastasio Guillelmo hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the game, Ubaldo Palban was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montserrat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anasagasti AFC the free kick. If Wilfredo Tabb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeremias Cordarrol during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Anasagasti AFC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Jeremias Cordarrol hit a great ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Wilfredo Tabb managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anasagasti AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Tabb was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilfredo Tabb was the one to do the kick off. Wilfredo Tabb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Baldomero Piarres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Jeremias Cordarrol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anasagasti AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremias Cordarrol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomero Piarres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baldomero Piarres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remigio Gartzi in the 60th minute. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Montserrat's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tadeo Furtado was slow to take the kick. During this time Anasagasti AFC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Tadeo Furtado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Montserrat's Baldomero Piarres did a great save. In the 64th minute, one of Montserrat:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Montserrat. Teodosio Egoi hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Tadeo Furtado, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Wilfredo Tabb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Piarres having to interfere. If Wilfredo Tabb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gogo Karlo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnulfo Virila's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. When Wilfredo Tabb came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Anasagasti AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfredo Tabb couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnulfo Virila during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Anasagasti AFC booed when Montserrat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Virila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remigio Gartzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Baldomero Piarres made a huge save. Anasagasti AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
