In the 4th minute Emanuel Cuartio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Janpier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 7 minutes, Victoriano Aguirre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esteros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victoriano Aguirre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabian Janpier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Cuartio, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Adriana Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Fabian Janpier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Cuartio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, Emanuel Cuartio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabian Janpier. Emanuel Cuartio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Victoriano Aguirre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esteros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Victoriano Aguirre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apolo Demesio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Esteros FC's Fabian Janpier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Cuartio in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Denis Innocenzio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esteros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Innocenzio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apolo Demesio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Apolo Demesio came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Esteros FC's Denis Innocenzio. But to his dismay, Denis Innocenzio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 33 minutes into the match, Ranquilcó's goal looked a bit too open when Victoriano Aguirre came free, but Apolo Demesio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apolo Demesio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victoriano Aguirre, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Lino Martinez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victoriano Aguirre to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriana Abreu in the 50th minute of play forced Esteros FC's goalkeeper Fabian Janpier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Janpier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Cuartio in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Denis Innocenzio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ranquilcó's goalkeeper Apolo Demesio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Emanuel Cuartio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute Adriana Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Janpier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Esteros FC defense, Emanuel Cuartio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabian Janpier. The Esteros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabian Janpier should have stopped the shot. Celestino Isidor's late challenge caught a Esteros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celestino Isidor helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Esteros FC booed when Ranquilcó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Isidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victoriano Aguirre was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Esteros FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Lino Martinez's late challenge caught a Ranquilcó's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lino Martinez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Esteros FC's Lino Martinez got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 90th minute, Ladislao Rayman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Cuartio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Genaro Erruki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ranquilcó were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Esteros FC for a fine match.
