A hard shot by Esteban Eladio from long distance, 14 minutes into the match, got Apolo Demesio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Emanuel Cuartio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Armindo Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armindo Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriana Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Saul Maxin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Apolo Demesio made a huge save. In the 25th minute, Saul Maxin made a precise shot to the right of Apolo Demesio. Ranquilcó's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Apolo Demesio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmacio Bermudo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 33rd match minute, Ranquilcó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Isidor to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Ranquilcó booed when Romeo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Bermudo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 played minutes, Ranquilcó's Bartolo Abel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Armindo Gonçalves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ranquilcó reached it. After 46 played minutes Ranquilcó got a freekick which was hit by Gualterio Ler. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Cuartio was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Victorio Nesto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Romeo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 60th minute, Adriana Abreu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armindo Gonçalves was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 62nd minute, German Burni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bartolo Abel struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Armindo Gonçalves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ranquilcó. If Dalmacio Bermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the game, Victorio Nesto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Apolo Demesio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 80 played minutes Romeo FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Goyo. 83 minutes into the match, Romeo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Cuartio came free, but Armindo Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute Victorio Nesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Demesio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Romeo FC booed when Ranquilcó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Abel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saul Maxin, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Romeo FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ranquilcó had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
