A beautiful save bye Chañaritos's goalie prevented a goal. Gualterio Benino came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Salto AFC's Martin Buinton. But to his dismay, Martin Buinton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 27th minute, Julio Suarez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 31 minutes, Julio Suarez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salto AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julio Suarez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Diego Efren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salto AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Efren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gualterio Benino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. German Gervaso struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Anacleto Phelipe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chañaritos. German Gervaso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Anacleto Phelipe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilfredo Salvator to make the kick off. Anacleto Phelipe made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when German Gervaso sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Julio Suarez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gualterio Benino was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. If Martin Buinton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 66th minute Delmiro Senin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Benino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilfredo Salvator received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Anacleto Phelipe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th match minute, Salto AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonides Goiz to maneuver through the defense. German Gervaso struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Anacleto Phelipe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chañaritos. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Salto AFC fully deserved thier win.
