When Casimiro Ascencio came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Pearson FC fans jumped to their feet. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernabe Baldovino to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Gogo Austin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Retiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gogo Austin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Desiderio Gombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Desiderio Gombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Austin in the 73rd minute of the match. When Narciso Salvator fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Retiro FC's protests and gave Narciso Salvator a yellow card for diving instead. If Gogo Austin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. Epifanio Modestio charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Epifanio Modestio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
