After a rather tough play, Charqui's Clodoveo Bernard got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Silvano Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Frances might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baldomiro Ubendu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guido Frances ran back to his position shaking his head. 12 minutes into the match, José's goal looked a bit too open when Carolo Cordarrell came free, but Baldomiro Ubendu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 14 minutes, Luciano Calixto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Charqui and the José players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of José booed when Charqui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Calixto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Viviano during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Charqui's Guido Frances got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guido Frances fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomiro Ubendu having to interfere. Charqui's Albino Lertxun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvano Sancho in the 35th minute of play. If Silvano Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvano Sancho in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albino Lertxun saved Charqui from getting behind. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guido Frances to make the kick off. Charqui's Carolo Cordarrell got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in José's zone, Guido Frances stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomiro Ubendu came out of the goal and Guido Frances tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Carolo Cordarrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. José's Baldomiro Ubendu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Frances in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Charqui's Guido Frances dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. José's Baldomiro Ubendu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Frances in the 73rd minute of play. Charqui's Albino Lertxun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Viviano in the 76th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gabriel Viviano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albino Lertxun was relentless in the 78th minute of the game.
