The audience was convinced that Ernesto Theodore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eulalio Celio was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 11th minute Herminio Jon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Jobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Madryn's Marco Leizarraga tried to score from far away in the 15th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Madryn's Florencio Kusko in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Andalhualá AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Herminio Jon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelino Pelagius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eulalio Celio having to interfere. Herminio Jon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ricardo Jobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Florencio Kusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Madryn's Eulalio Celio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Madryn from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute, Ariel Hitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernesto Theodore in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eulalio Celio saved Madryn from getting behind. A collision led to Andalhualá AFC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jose Loco hit a great ball. Ernesto Theodore might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eulalio Celio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto Theodore ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Theodore in the 43rd minute of play forced Madryn's goalkeeper Eulalio Celio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Herminio Jon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Florencio Kusko kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernesto Theodore stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Herminio Jon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Madryn's Florencio Kusko suffered a sore knee after 57 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 57 minutes, Evelio Hartz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Andalhualá AFC and the Madryn players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Andalhualá AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Madryn:s goal. 72 minutes into the match, Madryn's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Pelagius came free, but Eulalio Celio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelino Pelagius's late challenge caught a Madryn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelino Pelagius helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, Andalhualá AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelino Pelagius to maneuver through the defense. Eulalio Celio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Theodore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Angelino Pelagius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th minute, Ernesto Theodore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 89 played minutes Madryn got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Carlomagno. Ernesto Theodore might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eulalio Celio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto Theodore ran back to his position shaking his head. Ernesto Theodore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eulalio Celio having to interfere. The Andalhualá AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Madryn's performance. The match ended with a win for Madryn.
