They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 63rd minute of the match Leon Tristan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eulalio Celio skillfully saved the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Madryn fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Atahona. Leon Tristan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eulalio Celio. 2-2. Ariel Hitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florencio Kusko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Gomesano having to interfere. Ariel Hitz kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Edgardo Bernebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eulalio Celio having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Atahona's Severo Ipar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eulalio Celio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Severo Ipar struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Eulalio Celio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atahona. If Severo Ipar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
