The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hector Diaz came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the C. A. Williams Kemmis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Diaz couldn't finish the play. Segundo Indalecio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Diaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidro Lertxun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Larra having to make a save. With a little luck, C. A. Williams Kemmis's Joaquin Larra got control of the ball when Isidro Lertxun tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marciano Oidor hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Urbano Martxelin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Segundo Indalecio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Urbano Martxelin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Segundo Indalecio. Mayo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Urbano Martxelin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Urbano Martxelin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Segundo Indalecio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Diaz in the 42nd minute of the match. If Urbano Martxelin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector Diaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Mayo FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. C. A. Williams Kemmis were winning 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Urbano Martxelin to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Hector Diaz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Segundo Indalecio. Hector Diaz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Segundo Indalecio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Isidro Lertxun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mayo FC's goalkeeper Segundo Indalecio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Mayo FC's zone, Urbano Martxelin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Indalecio came out of the goal and Urbano Martxelin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Mayo FC's Lázaro Diaz got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute, Mayo FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Urbano Martxelin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Urbano Martxelin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Indalecio having to interfere. Segundo Indalecio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hector Diaz went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Urbano Martxelin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Segundo Indalecio made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Hector Diaz sent off a good shot on target.
