Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafino Clis in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabio Elazar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Serafino Clis might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Elazar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serafino Clis ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ranquelcó AFC's goalkeeper Samuel Abaurre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ciriaco Montel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuel Abaurre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play.
