Haroldo Rocendo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Avellaneda AFC's zone, Teobaldo Lore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldo Rocendo came out of the goal and Teobaldo Lore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the match, Cafferata's Teobaldo Lore sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Haroldo Rocendo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cafferata's Silvano Remicio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Gorbea in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Cafferata's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Amor came free, but Silvano Remicio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Federico Gorbea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silvano Remicio having to make a save. A collision led to Cafferata getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Javier Lluciano hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Avellaneda AFC's Silvano Amor got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 45 minutes, Inocencio Nafarroa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avellaneda AFC and the Cafferata players grew even worse after the yellow card. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
