In the 23rd minute, Silvano Amor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvano Amor during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Trisomía 21 FC booed when Avellaneda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Amor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nereo Tibalt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Gorbea in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to Avellaneda AFC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Silvano Amor hit a great ball. After 36 played minutes, Avellaneda AFC's Carlos Incendio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nereo Tibalt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Avellaneda AFC reached it. In the 38thth minute of the game Gaston Ospetsu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avellaneda AFC's Haroldo Rocendo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Trisomía 21 FC booed when Avellaneda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Lander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Avellaneda AFC's Haroldo Rocendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Arlo in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gaston Ospetsu to make the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Avellaneda AFC's Silvano Amor made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nereo Tibalt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alberto Tarantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nereo Tibalt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Amor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trisomía 21 FC's Gaston Ospetsu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 74th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Trisomía 21 FC's Alberto Tarantini got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Tarantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Rocendo having to interfere. When Trisomía 21 FC's Gaston Ospetsu in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Avellaneda AFC's goalie prevented a goal. If Gaston Ospetsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvano Amor in the 93rd minute of play forced Trisomía 21 FC's goalkeeper Nereo Tibalt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gaston Ospetsu came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Trisomía 21 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Ospetsu couldn't finish the play.
