After 36 played minutes Concepción AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Hernando. When Astor Benat came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Pipinas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Astor Benat couldn't finish the play. Tomás Fiz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Amadeo Romero skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 45th minute Emiliano Matthew shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Haritzeder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the referee ended the match the Pipinas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
