Evaristo Kepa kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Rivas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Ekialde came free, but Francisco Aznaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eleuterio Ekialde might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisco Aznaro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eleuterio Ekialde ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Rivas AFC's Francisco Aznaro got control of the ball when Generoso Cordearo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Generoso Cordearo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Aznaro having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, Rivas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Weterio to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Brete fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Rivas AFC a penalty, 50 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rodolfo Weterio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Brete's Vladimiro Nardo. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 63rd minute, Generoso Cordearo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute Generoso Cordearo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Aznaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rivas AFC's Francisco Aznaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Generoso Cordearo in the 67th minute of play. Generoso Cordearo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 74 played minutes Brete got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Ekialde. After 79 played minutes Rivas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Abadia. Rivas AFC's Francisco Aznaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Generoso Cordearo in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Serafin Baladi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brete's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafin Baladi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Aznaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gavino Esquipula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 101st minute Nicasio Goizeder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Aznaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Brete were the better team. Brete's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
