Bruno Eguerdi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Basilio Kemen made a huge save. Urusmayo's Eleuterio Kinsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Galtero in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Urusmayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Normando to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Bernasconi booed when Urusmayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Normando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacinto Bernat might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eleuterio Kinsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacinto Bernat ran back to his position shaking his head. 41 minutes into the match, Bernasconi's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Francho came free, but Basilio Kemen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernasconi's Basilio Kemen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Francho in the 43rd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roque Galtero was the one to do the kick off.
