Narciso Mattin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Higinio Gutierrez charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Higinio Gutierrez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 10 played minutes Necol FC got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Gutierrez. 14 minutes into the match, Serrano AFC's Edgardo Foro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Placido Berbiz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 15 minutes into the game, Serrano AFC's Segundo Ponce nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Placido Berbiz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 19th minute of the match Nestor Silvino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Placido Berbiz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Serrano AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Pere came free, but Diego Tercero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Segundo Ponce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Foro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serrano AFC's Segundo Ponce got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Higinio Gutierrez kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Segundo Ponce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Berbiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Placido Berbiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Foro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Segundo Ponce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serrano AFC's Segundo Ponce got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaston Pere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

52 minutes into the match, Edgardo Foro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Placido Berbiz. Necol FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgardo Foro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Edgardo Foro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Placido Berbiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Tercero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaston Pere's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Gaston Pere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Necol FC's Narciso Mattin got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Narciso Mattin struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Diego Tercero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Necol FC. In the 85thth minute of the game Gaston Pere who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Serrano AFC's Diego Tercero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Serrano AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
