In the 71st minute, Sérgio Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dante Cuartio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Beltza having to interfere. Tegua's Bud Bundy quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pastor Lauren, made in the 76th minute of the game. In the 82nd minute, Dante Cuartio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. German Beltza was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Marcelo Salas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tegua's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Salas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. German Beltza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 87 minutes into the game, Cornelio Nahia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ascasubi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tegua the free kick. After 87 played minutes Ascasubi got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Nahia. In the 88th minute, Marcelo Salas made a precise shot to the right of German Beltza. Ascasubi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. When Lázaro Tibalt fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ascasubi's protests and gave Lázaro Tibalt a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ascasubi getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Lázaro Tibalt hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dante Cuartio in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg German Beltza saved Ascasubi from getting behind. Tegua's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
