Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Victorio Franco got the match started through his kick off. If Zeledon Cilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, Marapá's Victorio Franco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Vargas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Leo Nayely fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marapá's protests and gave Leo Nayely a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, Marapá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Nayely to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Victorio Franco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Esteve Inocente fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marapá's protests and gave Esteve Inocente a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, one of Marapá:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Marapá. When the match had been going on for 28 minutes, Medanitos's Prudencio Mateo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Dalmacio Salbatore. A collision led to Marapá getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Juan Locaio hit a great ball. Cirilo Gonsalve recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dalmacio Salbatore didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Medanitos's Natalio Francis shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cirilo Gonsalve made a kick off. In the 57th minute of the match Medanitos got a corner. Marapá's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Prudencio Mateo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Zeledon Cilio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Gabriel Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeledon Cilio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Gabriel Vargas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Natalio Francis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmacio Salbatore having to interfere. If Victorio Franco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cirilo Gonsalve struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Dalmacio Salbatore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Medanitos. Zeledon Cilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvaro Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvaro Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alvaro Barbosa hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Gabriel Vargas made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Zeledon Cilio sent off a good shot on target. When Zeledon Cilio came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Marapá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeledon Cilio couldn't finish the play. Victorio Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, Medanitos's goalkeeper Gabriel Vargas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zeledon Cilio. Marapá's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
