Cléber Valle was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 7 minutes into the match. After 11 minutes of play, Campbell AFC's Federico Ugaitz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Novais was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 17th match minute, Campbell AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Merexildo to maneuver through the defense. Larry Woodyat might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albano Galeno. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Larry Woodyat ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Calvo's Marco Bartuelo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Albano Galeno. That made the score 1-2 after 24 minutes of play. Larry Woodyat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Albano Galeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Leonides Manni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Galeno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angel Sesuldo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Larry Woodyat in the 46th minute of play forced Campbell AFC's goalkeeper Albano Galeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

In the 51st minute Larry Woodyat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Galeno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albano Galeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Larry Woodyat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Leonides Manni came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Calvo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonides Manni couldn't finish the play. After 65 minutes, Larry Woodyat made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Campbell AFC's Albano Galeno tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Albano Galeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Larry Woodyat, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Osvaldo Iratzeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Alex Novais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Campbell AFC's Albano Galeno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larry Woodyat in the 76th minute of play. Campbell AFC's Rafael Senio got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Larry Woodyat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albano Galeno having to make a save. Larry Woodyat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Galeno having to interfere. There was no doubt that Calvo were the better team. Calvo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
