After 6 played minutes Arbolito got a freekick which was hit by Flavio Bela. Tadeo Jeraldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomás Ospin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Saturnino Pierres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Odilon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Arbolito booed when Energía AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Bastian didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the game, one of Energía AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, Arbolito's Rene Giro got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute Tadeo Jeraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Beltran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Energía AFC's Tadeo Jeraldo in the 37th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Narciso Beltran was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Arbolito through an amazing save. In the 41st minute, Tiburcio Frechoso made a precise shot to the right of Saturnino Pierres. Energía AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Energía AFC's Saturnino Pierres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remigio Odilon in the 45th minute of play. After 47 minutes Energía AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Justo Gartzi who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Energía AFC's goalie and right to Omar Ordono. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Energía AFC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The Energía AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Arbolito were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Remigio Odilon to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Ospin in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Narciso Beltran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Energía AFC's Saturnino Pierres got control of the ball when Tiburcio Frechoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiburcio Frechoso got free with Saturnino Pierres in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigio Odilon in the 60th minute of play forced Energía AFC's goalkeeper Saturnino Pierres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 0-2 became the score in the 62nd minute when Remigio Odilon elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Energía AFC's Sergio Guib got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Energía AFC's Tomás Ospin got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Justo Gartzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute Tadeo Jeraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Beltran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiburcio Frechoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Saturnino Pierres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Justo Gartzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomás Ospin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Beltran having to interfere. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Tadeo Jeraldo sped through Arbolito's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Narciso Beltran. The supporters of Arbolito booed when Energía AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Mitxaut didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justo Gartzi shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The Energía AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arbolito's performance. The match ended with a win for Arbolito.
