The supporters of Perrugorría booed when Videla AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Videla AFC's Juan Petri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Valente in the 15th minute of play. Tiburcio Ponciano scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruben Garci, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st match minute, Perrugorría was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Toribio to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Marciano Mede put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ruben Garci. A collision led to Videla AFC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Roberto Virila hit a great ball. If Marciano Mede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 45 minutes, Paolo Pedroso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perrugorría's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paolo Pedroso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juan Petri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Valente, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marciano Mede was the one to do the kick off. Juan Petri made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Apolo Valente sent off a good shot on target. Apolo Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute Paolo Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Petri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Perrugorría's zone, Esteve Muno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruben Garci came out of the goal and Esteve Muno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Perrugorría's Paolo Pedroso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juan Petri. That made the score 2-1 after 61 minutes of play. Marciano Mede struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Ruben Garci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Videla AFC. Paolo Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. When Apolo Valente came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Perrugorría fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apolo Valente couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Videla AFC's Celso Arias got a free kick in the 74th minute. If Apolo Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the game, Tiburcio Ponciano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Videla AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Perrugorría the free kick. In the 76th match minute, Videla AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Ponciano to maneuver through the defense. After 81 minutes, Victorio Ongile mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perrugorría and the Videla AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 86 played minutes Perrugorría got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Ongile. Videla AFC were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Perrugorría's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Honorio Cordarrel took the corner. After taking down the ball on Videla AFC's corner Honorio Cordarrel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ruben Garci quite easily take care of the ball. If Marciano Mede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 93 minutes into the game, Esteve Muno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ruben Garci was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Perrugorría's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
