A very good chance. 13 minutes into the game, Eleuterio Valente was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catuna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cóndorhuasi the free kick. After 13 played minutes Catuna got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Valente. Eleuterio Valente was shown his second yellow card after 14 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 15th minute, Eleuterio Valente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Beat took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mateo Rutenio. Catuna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 17 minutes Catuna's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcos Beat who took care of the corner kick. 19 minutes into the match, Catuna's goal looked a bit too open when Luisito Urko came free, but Mateo Rutenio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Iaki struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Mateo Rutenio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cóndorhuasi. Jorge Iaki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Rutenio having to interfere. A collision led to Cóndorhuasi getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Fulgencio Efren hit a great ball. Mateo Rutenio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Iaki in the 27th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Jorge Iaki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateo Rutenio was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Luisito Urko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Rutenio having to interfere. Ambrosio Peli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Mateo Rutenio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Jorge Iaki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cóndorhuasi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Iaki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Cóndorhuasi fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Cóndorhuasi's Luisito Urko looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jorge Iaki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Rutenio having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Alfonso Ihazintu's late challenge caught a Cóndorhuasi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfonso Ihazintu helped the player get up and apologised. After 52 played minutes Catuna got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Ihazintu. Jorge Iaki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cóndorhuasi's Luisito Urko got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Catuna's Mateo Rutenio got control of the ball when Jorge Iaki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Florencio Segio took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alejo Froylan. Alejo Froylan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. An unexpected shot in the 71st minute by Luisito Urko got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Catuna's Mateo Rutenio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Catuna from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute, Jorge Iaki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jorge Iaki came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Cóndorhuasi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Iaki couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Iaki in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mateo Rutenio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute, Florencio Segio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catuna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
