The referee ignored Vilgo's protests and gave Angelino Quin a yellow card for diving instead. 14 minutes into the game, Vilgo's Dario Iraunkor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armando Cisco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Paolo Eufemio's late challenge caught a Malbrán AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paolo Eufemio helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vilgo's Angelino Quin got a free kick in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Malbrán AFC's Aldo Gora broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. Eduardo Mino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carmelo Reno hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 48 minutes of play, Malbrán AFC's Benigno Paul made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduardo Mino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dario Iraunkor to strike the kick off in the second half. Benigno Paul might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eduardo Mino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benigno Paul ran back to his position shaking his head. Eliseo Feliz's late challenge caught a Malbrán AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseo Feliz helped the player get up and apologised. Aldo Gora walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. A collision led to Vilgo getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Carmelo Reno hit a great ball. Malbrán AFC's Benigno Paul got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paolo Eufemio got his second yellow card in the match during the 71st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 72nd match minute, Vilgo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Eufemio to maneuver through the defense. Malbrán AFC's Aldo Gora shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 72nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Eduardo Mino but with some difficulty. If Benigno Paul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teofilo Nahia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teofilo Nahia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, Gustavo Bieito had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Dario Iraunkor's late challenge caught a Malbrán AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dario Iraunkor helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, Dario Iraunkor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teofilo Nahia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Eduardo Mino made a huge save. The Vilgo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Malbrán AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Malbrán AFC.
