Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Americo Lluis kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Carcarañá got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Berasko. 4 minutes into the match, Ranquelcó's Octavio Isias broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Gabriel Mede came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Ranquelcó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Mede couldn't finish the play. In the 9th match minute, Ranquelcó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelino Quintyn to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Mede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Carcarañá's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Mede came free, but Miguel Gonsalvo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matias Xabier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Americo Lluis, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After having played for 15 minutes, Americo Lluis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carcarañá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Americo Lluis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st minute Americo Lluis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Xabier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Carcarañá booed when Ranquelcó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustino Ostargi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carcarañá's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leon Mino in the 24th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Carcarañá's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Cordarin came free, but Miguel Gonsalvo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ranquelcó's zone, Javier Belarmo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Xabier came out of the goal and Javier Belarmo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Americo Lluis might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matias Xabier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Americo Lluis ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Carcarañá booed when Ranquelcó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Benvide didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristo Cordarin to make the kick off. Gabriel Mede kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Cristo Cordarin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Miguel Gonsalvo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Carcarañá's goalkeeper Miguel Gonsalvo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciro Gaxan. 67 minutes into the match, Ranquelcó's Cristo Cordarin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel Gonsalvo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Carcarañá's Salvador Refugio got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 72ndth minute of the game Americo Lluis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ranquelcó's Matias Xabier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristo Cordarin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gabriel Mede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Javier Belarmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ranquelcó's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
