Americo Lluis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Chico having to interfere. A collision led to Carcarañá getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Melquiades Berasko hit a great ball. In the 49th minute of the match Benito Hug shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miguel Gonsalvo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Americo Lluis was the one to do the kick off. Carcarañá's Miguel Gonsalvo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Rivas in the 68th minute of play. Rogelio Rivas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Burruyacú AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 72nd play minutes Romulo Madaleno shot 3-3, a short shot which went by Miguel Gonsalvo and just under the crossbar into goal. When Rogelio Rivas came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Burruyacú AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Rivas couldn't finish the play. In the 96th match minute, Burruyacú AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Rivas to maneuver through the defense.
