After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Igor Orixe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tocota FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Orixe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Candido Paulin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Candido Paulin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tocota FC. When Jonathan Jaume came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Ischilín AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Jaume couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Ischilín AFC's zone, Igor Orixe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Candido Paulin came out of the goal and Igor Orixe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 56 minutes, Leon Locaio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ischilín AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leon Locaio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edelmiro Calvino's late challenge caught a Ischilín AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edelmiro Calvino helped the player get up and apologised. Edelmiro Calvino kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Igor Orixe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Paulin having to interfere. Igor Orixe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Candido Paulin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. If Leopoldo Flor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jonathan Jaume had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aristides Berbiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Jaume in the 82nd minute of play. If Leopoldo Flor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Ischilín AFC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
