Chimpay's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebio Uxio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Kaiet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eusebio Uxio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Enrique Kaiet made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fulgencio Salvadore made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Alfonso Lando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Enrique Kaiet came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Chimpay's Maximiliano Ortzi. But to his dismay, Maximiliano Ortzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Chimpay's Carlos Santio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Salvadore in the 93rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Uxio in the 95th minute of play forced Achicó AFC's goalkeeper Enrique Kaiet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Chimpay were the better team. Chimpay's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
