The audience thought a goal was coming when Pastor Kaxen got free with Amador Montay in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raul Dalmai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Artal having to interfere. A collision led to Madryn FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Pablo Telo hit a great ball. In the 14th minute Raul Dalmai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Artal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Madryn FC's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Itzaina came free, but Nestor Artal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Pastor Kaxen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by German Ixidor in the 22nd minute of play forced Averías's goalkeeper Amador Montay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Averías's goal looked a bit too open when German Ixidor came free, but Amador Montay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Madryn FC's Nestor Artal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Dalmai in the 27th minute of play. Leon Joanes hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Diego Jobo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. German Ixidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raul Dalmai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Conrado Itzaina took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nestor Artal. Nestor Artal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 41 played minutes Averías got a freekick which was hit by Leon Joanes. Pastor Kaxen came free with the goalkeeper in the 42nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Amador Montay could save by the left post. After 42 played minutes Averías got a freekick which was hit by Federico James. In the 45th minute Madryn FC were awarded a corner. Diego Jobo went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Diego Jobo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Amador Montay quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conrado Itzaina was the one to do the kick off. Nestor Artal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Itzaina in the 53rd minute of play. After having played for 54 minutes, Raul Dalmai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Averías's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Dalmai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 56 in the game by Conrado Itzaina from a close distance when the talented Nestor Artal managed to make a qualified save. Madryn FC's players were relieved. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Averías's goalkeeper Amador Montay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amador Montay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Kaxen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristobal Mel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. German Ixidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Pastor Kaxen came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Madryn FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pastor Kaxen couldn't finish the play. In the 74th match minute, Averías was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico James to maneuver through the defense. Pastor Kaxen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Montay having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Kaxen in the 81st minute of play forced Averías's goalkeeper Amador Montay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Pastor Kaxen made a precise shot to the right of Amador Montay. Averías's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Conrado Itzaina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Artal having to interfere. If Pastor Kaxen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Averías's Raul Dalmai got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
