But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Veremundo couldn't finish the play. Alfredo Louis hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabricio Veremundo during the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Delmiro Abecia in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristobal Oier saved Potrerillos from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Celestino Videl to strike the kick off in the second half. Fabricio Veremundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Cristobal Oier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristobal Oier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Abecia, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Potrerillos's Cristobal Oier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmiro Abecia in the 74th minute of play. Alberto Erroman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celestino Videl went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Potrerillos's Cristobal Oier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Veremundo in the 90th minute of play. Sainuco's Alberto Erroman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Sainuco from getting a goal against them. The Sainuco supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Potrerillos's performance. The match ended with a win for Potrerillos.
