After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Fabio Frans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cieneguila's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Frans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Seme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leo Goiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 10 played minutes Pampayasta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Danel. In the 13th minute, Desiderio Abalos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Seme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Abalos in the 15th minute of play. Fabio Frans might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Seme. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabio Frans ran back to his position shaking his head. Jorge Seme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Desiderio Abalos's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Desiderio Abalos notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pampayasta AFC's Jorge Seme. Jorge Seme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leo Goiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leo Goiz got free with Clodoveo Idacio in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Clodoveo Idacio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervasio Maldonado, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Leo Goiz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 42nd minute. Pampayasta AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cieneguila's Clodoveo Idacio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Cieneguila from getting a goal against them. After the first half Cieneguila were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Desiderio Abalos made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Everardo Pacifico during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Pampayasta AFC booed when Cieneguila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Pacifico didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leo Goiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervasio Maldonado in the 60th minute of play forced Cieneguila's goalkeeper Clodoveo Idacio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Frans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Seme having to interfere. When Desiderio Abalos came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Cieneguila fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Desiderio Abalos couldn't finish the play. Fabio Frans's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jorge Seme firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jorge Seme was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Desiderio Abalos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Desiderio Abalos really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. 73 minutes into the match, Pampayasta AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Desiderio Abalos came free, but Jorge Seme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clodoveo Idacio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leo Goiz's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. The supporters of Pampayasta AFC booed when Cieneguila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Pacifico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisito Cuarto, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jorge Seme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Abalos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clodoveo Idacio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervasio Maldonado, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Abalos in the 92nd minute of play forced Pampayasta AFC's goalkeeper Jorge Seme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cieneguila walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
