Salto FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cayastacito the free kick. The supporters of Cayastacito booed when Salto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Gaitano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zacarias Innocenzio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carolo Torres went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Carolo Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Innocenzio having to interfere. Zacarias Innocenzio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Torres in the 17th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Salto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Cibran to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerardo Abilio got free with Clemente Bernal in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcelino Tello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Bernal having to interfere. In the 40thth minute of the game Carolo Torres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salto FC's Zacarias Innocenzio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Salto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carolo Torres came free, but Zacarias Innocenzio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Cayastacito's Clemente Bernal got control of the ball when Gerardo Abilio tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Salto FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cayastacito were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carolo Torres to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Carolo Torres recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zacarias Innocenzio. Carolo Torres showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Torres in the 56th minute of play forced Salto FC's goalkeeper Zacarias Innocenzio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 played minutes Cayastacito got a freekick which was hit by Victor Ortle. In the 58th minute, Jorge Bakar sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cayastacito's Clemente Bernal didn't even have to move. Marcelino Tello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clemente Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Abilio in the 72nd minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Salto FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cayastacito:s goal. After having played for 80 minutes, Eusebio Casomiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cayastacito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebio Casomiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victor Ortle charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Ortle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Gerardo Abilio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clemente Bernal was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Salto FC's Zacarias Innocenzio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Salto FC from getting a goal against them. Gerardo Abilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Gerardo Abilio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salto FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerardo Abilio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Bernal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cayastacito's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
