The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anier Argoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Pinto FC booed when Libertad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Pirro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camilo Calixto was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rolando Crispo. 10 minutes into the match, Libertad's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Shantala came free, but Camilo Calixto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Alfonso Raulo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pinto FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Silvestre Shantala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Calixto having to interfere. Silvestre Shantala struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Camilo Calixto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pinto FC. Camilo Calixto made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Alfonso Raulo sent off a good shot on target. Alfonso Raulo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvestre Shantala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Calixto having to interfere. Alfonso Raulo might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camilo Calixto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfonso Raulo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 37th minute Anier Argoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timoteo Phelipe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvestre Shantala hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Delmiro Segio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timoteo Phelipe having to interfere. Silvestre Shantala blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Camilo Calixto having to make a save. Camilo Calixto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Shantala in the 64th minute of play. Silvestre Shantala struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Camilo Calixto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pinto FC. If Alfonso Raulo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Alfonso Raulo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pinto FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Raulo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Calixto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Segundo Henrico hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Alfonso Raulo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Calixto having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Anier Argoitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Pinto FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Silvestre Tino hit a great ball. Delmiro Segio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timoteo Phelipe having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pinto FC's Angel Javiero got a free kick in the 87th minute. Pinto FC's Timoteo Phelipe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Pinto FC from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute, Delmiro Segio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Shantala in the 92nd minute of play forced Libertad's goalkeeper Camilo Calixto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfonso Raulo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camilo Calixto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pinto FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Libertad had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
