Sergio Gai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horacio Rexino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute Leonides Monte suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Baldomero Ugutz charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldomero Ugutz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Baldomero Ugutz kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Domingo Ostadar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Severiano Reno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jaime Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Cordona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. Severiano Reno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingo Ostadar's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. If Domingo Ostadar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Salsedo's Dante Benet got a free kick in the 41st minute. Braulio Berto charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Braulio Berto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Braulio Berto kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domingo Ostadar made a kick off. Cordona's Horacio Rexino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Gai in the 53rd minute of play. Horacio Rexino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Gai in the 55th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Sergio Gai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaime Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severiano Reno having to interfere. If Dante Benet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horacio Rexino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sergio Gai went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 84 played minutes Salsedo got a freekick which was hit by Moises Mannuel. Sergio Gai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
