With a little luck, Club Atletico Talleres's Sérgio Madruga got control of the ball when Javier Gilen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Desiderio Theobald hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Hipolito Oihenarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Theobald in the 11th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Erasmo Quilino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atletico Talleres fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Hipolito Oihenarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Saturnin in the 27th minute of the match. Hipolito Oihenarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Quilino in the 29th minute of play. After having played for 30 minutes, Desiderio Theobald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Talleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Desiderio Theobald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Desiderio Theobald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hipolito Oihenarte having to interfere. In the 34th minute Desiderio Theobald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hipolito Oihenarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 minutes of play, Club Atletico Talleres's Andy Corre made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hipolito Oihenarte was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hipolito Oihenarte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erasmo Quilino went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Delta F.C. defense, Desiderio Theobald kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hipolito Oihenarte. The Delta F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hipolito Oihenarte should have stopped the shot. Javier Gilen struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Sérgio Madruga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Delta F.C.. After the first half Club Atletico Talleres were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Club Atletico Talleres made a substitution. Benicio Abastas replaced Donato Mikolas. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erasmo Quilino made a kick off. Hipolito Oihenarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Theobald in the 55th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Delta F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Belmiro to maneuver through the defense. Erasmo Quilino scored 0-5 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hipolito Oihenarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hipolito Oihenarte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erasmo Quilino in the 65th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Javier Gilen in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sérgio Madruga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Club Atletico Talleres booed when Delta F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Chesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Delta F.C. defense, Erasmo Quilino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hipolito Oihenarte. The Delta F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hipolito Oihenarte should have stopped the shot. Dimitrie Sluis hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Club Atletico Talleres's Leonardo Valente was substituted for Desiderio Theobald. After having played for 85 minutes, Erasmo Quilino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Talleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erasmo Quilino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severino Chorache blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sérgio Madruga having to make a save.
