When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Amadeo Esiquio took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ramiro Ongile to make any attempt to save it. In the 38th minute, Aquilino Bonadona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Sariego got free with Ramiro Ongile in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carter Cardella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Fernado, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amadeo Esiquio to make the kick off. Esteban Estevez had several of the Leones Libertarios's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 51 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Carter Cardella as he didn't even see the shot coming. A collision led to Leones Libertarios getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Christian Rubio hit a great ball.
