An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Rubio in the 3rd minute of play forced Covello's goalkeeper Ramon Rafe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Juan Lapurdi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carter Cardella was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. After 17 minutes, Ricardo Fortun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Covello and the Leones Libertarios players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leones Libertarios's Carter Cardella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Lapurdi in the 21st minute of play. In the 26th minute, Juan Lapurdi made a precise shot to the right of Carter Cardella. Leones Libertarios's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 35th minute Amadeo Esiquio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Rafe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Covello's Ricardo Fortun got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute Armando Mingo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Rafe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Juan Lapurdi sped through Leones Libertarios's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carter Cardella. Zeledon Bonadona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Lapurdi made a kick off. Carter Cardella stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Lapurdi's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Juan Lapurdi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Carter Cardella when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Covello booed when Leones Libertarios was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damian Mikeldi hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 66th match minute, Covello was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Edur to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 67 minutes, Bert Moquin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leones Libertarios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bert Moquin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 72 minutes, Bert Moquin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leones Libertarios and the Covello players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Leones Libertarios! 0-4 came through a penalty shot after 73 played minutes, when Covello:s Damian Mikeldi calmly waited for Leones Libertarios:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. A hard shot 76 in the game by Juan Lapurdi from a close distance when the talented Carter Cardella managed to make a qualified save. Leones Libertarios's players were relieved. Covello's Ramon Rafe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Rubio in the 79th minute of play. Carmelo Rocendo's late challenge caught a Leones Libertarios's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carmelo Rocendo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Covello was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmelo Rocendo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 85 minutes, Miguel Sariego managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leones Libertarios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Sariego was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramon Rafe came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Leones Libertarios's Christian Rubio. But to his dismay, Christian Rubio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Ramon Rafe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Sariego went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. In the 97th minute, Damian Mikeldi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 99 minutes into the match, Covello's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeo Esiquio came free, but Ramon Rafe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Although Leones Libertarios had been in control for most of the match, Covello still came away with the win.
