Vicente Idacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Cordario having to interfere. The nice shot from Valeriu Frumuzache in the 13thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Filiberto Otoniel had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After 15 played minutes Rio de La Plata FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Canor. Leopoldo Cordario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Gurutz, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bebeto Catarinense in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leopoldo Cordario prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Rio de La Plata FC's Justino Hitzeder got a free kick in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bebeto Catarinense in the 22nd minute of play forced Rio de La Plata FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Cordario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Cordario stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bebeto Catarinense's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Valeriu Frumuzache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Filiberto Otoniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Rio de La Plata FC's Valeriu Frumuzache got a free kick in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Rio de La Plata FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bebeto Catarinense came free, but Leopoldo Cordario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rio de La Plata FC's Leopoldo Cordario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Cortez in the 40th minute of play. Leopoldo Cordario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Birila, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 41 played minutes Rio de La Plata FC got a freekick which was hit by Valeriu Frumuzache. Leopoldo Cordario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bebeto Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cecilio Birila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half Mogigasta were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Simon Perico kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Mogigasta's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriu Frumuzache came free, but Filiberto Otoniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Rio de La Plata FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvestre Caetano to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bebeto Catarinense got free with Leopoldo Cordario in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mogigasta walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
