The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Bartolo Telmo managed to get in a good position for a shot. BLoPa's supporters rose to their feet, but Bartolo Telmo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justino Jaunzuria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Justino Jaunzuria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolo Telmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. River SG's Justino Jaunzuria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Hegoi in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, River SG's Eleuterio Txatxu got a free kick in the 11th minute. After some careless play in the BLoPa defense, Benito Montrell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Norberto Esdras. The BLoPa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norberto Esdras should have stopped the shot. River SG's Justino Jaunzuria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Telmo in the 26th minute of play. It was beautiful to see BLoPa's Lisandro Teodor in action when he in the 30th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Justino Jaunzuria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After 46 minutes, Matias Hegoi made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. River SG's Justino Jaunzuria tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The River SG players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BLoPa were winning 1-3.

The wind increased when Matias Hegoi made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of BLoPa booed when River SG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natalio Ixona didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute, Isaias Dolcet fired a really elegant long shot, but Justino Jaunzuria threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. 58 minutes into the game, BLoPa's Matias Hegoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Justino Jaunzuria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. 66 minutes into the match, BLoPa's Isaias Dolcet broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 68th minute Bartolo Telmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Jaunzuria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matias Hegoi got free with Justino Jaunzuria in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 69 played minutes River SG got a freekick which was hit by Benito Montrell. In the 74th minute, Eleuterio Txatxu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Norberto Esdras was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. 84 minutes into the game, Sebastian Guib was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BLoPa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River SG the free kick. After 85 played minutes BLoPa got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Guib. Justino Jaunzuria made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Matias Hegoi sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Justino Jaunzuria managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when BLoPa's Matias Hegoi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eleuterio Txatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Esdras having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched BLoPa eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
