After a defensive mix-up in El Rayo's zone, Mariano Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eloy Chepe came out of the goal and Mariano Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Isaias Jerano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 25 minutes into the game, Domingo Abechuco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kapos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Rayo the free kick. After a rather tough play, Kapos's Domingo Abechuco got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 31st minute, Severino Luken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Edur made in the 36th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gualterio Ciano immediately put the ball in play. Adrian Playo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. Domingo Abechuco placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! El Rayo's Guaberto Gizon managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Herminio Tallia in the 46 minute of the game. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teofilo Sanchez to make the kick off. Eloy Chepe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Sanchez, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Guaberto Gizon hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in El Rayo's zone, Teofilo Sanchez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
